Simplicity is the key to the Pico-Macom 12-channel headend package. The system is designed around this 12-slot chassis (MPC-12) which comes complete with a fan-cooled power supply. Building a mini-system starts with the MPC-12, followed by the appropriate number and type of modulators, demodulators, and/or encoders. Select a modulator for each channel of satellite, VCR, DVD, CCTV or other in-house sources you want to include in your cable lineup. Analog Modulators require a single rack slot of space; demodulators require two slots. Digital modulators and digital streaming video encoders required 2 slots. Use additional MPC-12 chassis units as required to expand channel capacity. Outputs of the modulators are combined using one of the related CHC-16U-series active combiners, also shown below. THAT'S IT! It's that easy.
